They Might Be Giants John Flansburgh and John Linnell (who is obscured in the shadows on his keyboard in this clip)banter with the Homestar Runner puppet during a special show for kids and families at the Variety Playhouse in Atlanta, GA. Following the banter, Homestar and Linnell sing "I Am Not Your Broom".

The visual quality of the clip is poor, but at least it gives you a vague taste of the experience...and you can still hear the jokes!

@Koolkitties Yes, this show was an all ages show. But I have seen the Homestar/Strong Bad puppets appear at regular adult TMBG shows as well!

Not last night's, but I went to the one Thursday night in Birmingham, AL and I'm going with my niece to their kids' show in Atlanta today! Quite excited!

I'm just wondering how they got associated with TMBG?

Apparently the story goes that TMBG were big Homestar fans, even having been seen wearing Homestar shirts at certain shows. One day one of the Johns (I think Flansburgh) just decided to contact the Homestar guys offering their sevices if ever needed...and the rest was history. At least that's how I remember hearing it!

I remember this day! Actually, there was a bad storm going through Atlanta at the very time this video was being recorded. Tornadoes and everything. They had to stall the longer after the kids show was over, till the storm passed. They were talking about it 2 hours later at the adult show they did.

Only TMBG is awesome enough to pull a double-header :)
