Dear friend...
Wearing braces isn't as bad as you think. It will feel strange and uncomfortable to begin with... and this is quite normal... but your mouth will get use to the braces. Your dentist will give you some wax to place over the brackets to keep you out of discomfort.

Sometimes, we need braces not only to straighten our teeth, but to correct our bite. He's dependant on braces based on the information provided on the day of his orthodontic consultation.

That blue glue etches the tooth to ensure a better bond between the bracket and the tooth... I do understand that it doesn't taste very pleasant.
