Can Fox News NeoCon Blame Walter Reed Scandal on Liberals?

Fox News NeoCon Fred Barnes tried to blame liberal government healthcare for the scandal of poor outpatient medical treatment for wounded soldiers at Walter Reed Medical Center. Fortunately, a comedy show on HBO provided more accurate information to debunk the Fox News claim. Adding in some facts from PBS's NewsHour with Jim Lehrer leaves me with some serious questions about the scandal for you to answer at the end.

Well huge independent monopolys already dictate the prices of many important medicines.

In Brazil, the government started making "illegal" copys of an expensive AIDS drug (american) that used to cost a small fortune to the poor. Brazil hands them out for free. HA! In your face, megacorp!

@TAKENnameARGH You're right. During the depression, the NRA allowed businesses to collaborate and regulate prices (and it worked for a short period of time), but it was soon afterward criticized by Populists, and eventually even determined unconstitutional. It's bad as a system, good as a remedy.
