@npswimr yes, that have a chase car every race. The wagon is the medical car. Just for safety purposes.

apologies... it was 2005 that was the worst gp of all time. My bad!!! It looks immense there. I went to see the british GP a few yrs ago. the noise was just epic!

whoah apparently a fan has broken out onto the track in his hudson hornet at :16 and has taken the green flag.. lol what was that car anyway? do they always have a chase car like that? what purpose? I know really I'd love to go to at least one race, wow I would be screaming and yelling the whole time just walking to my seat, YEAH!!! I first heard the cars at 4 years old on t.v. been hooked for 39 years now.

I believe it was a Mercedes Benz E55 AMG Wagon. Not sure if they have a chase car every race, but for this one, they had the Benz chase the first lap for medical, rescue, etc. Good thing too because Scott Speed crashed on turn 1.
