People's Postcode Lottery Winner in Wallsend

Two sets of Wallsend neighbours can make their children's dreams come true with wins of £8,344 apiece.

The Ord family and the Shields family have children who go to school together and who'd both love to go on their school ski-ing trip.

Winner Jill Shields, a 43-year-old library assistant, said: "My oldest daughter Amy didnt bother bringing home the letter about the trip because she knew we couldnt afford it but I reckon she might be going now."

She added: "I joined the Peoples Postcode Lottery because it's about helping charities. Never in my wildest dreams did I think Id get this much back!"
