This is a tune which was written around 1914 by Howard Johnson (words), and Theodore Morse (music).
Lyrics: M is for the million things she gave me. O means only that she's growing old. T is for the tears she shed to save me. H is for her heart of purest gold. E is for her eyes with love-light shining. R means right, and right, she'll allways be. Put them all together, they spell MOTHER, a word that means the world, to me.
Played by Thomas Grillo on Moog Etherwave Pro theremin.
Please excuse the ambient noise of two computers, as my mixer was not functioning, and I was forced to use a live microphone from a camcorder. Just turn your trebble down a bit.

It seems all theremins have a slightly different sound. I've heard some that sound like cat meowing, some that sound like spooky ghosts, some sound like a soprano or sopranino voice, and some, like this one, reminds me of a violin or viola, and cello in its lower register.
Wow, wonderful song, wonderfully played, and I really enjoyed it, but, if I may say so, maybe you should consider smiling every once in a while? I mean, the music is absolutely marvelous and you sound very professional, but you look kinda like a man awaiting a tax audit!
LOL, I am working on adding facial expression to my stage presense. but I'm legally blind, and never was very good at SP facial expressions. To make matters worse, the theremin is the one instrument which requires concentration for balance, arm, hand, and finger positions, listenning, breathing (yes, it affects intonation), and a host of other perameters. It's like multitasking on a grand scale, and for some reason smiling is, for the moment, the one task that distracts me. I'm working on it. ;)

I've considered doing a video which demonstrates these differences.
