The fabulous SH-201 synthesizer preview my custom string patches. Hopefully the poor audio quality of YouTube will give you an idea of how great this synth really is.

  • This thing is like a beast, first I wanted to buy the Waldorf or micron but this is better and same price range.

  • hello, I have the same keyboard and I wanted to know how the preset was madesweet dream thank you for your answer

  • @dudewhosaysarrh yes is certainly does help! i appreciate it! thank you :)

  • @codern (continued) in preset C7 for example it is a little more complicated, since the keyboard is in split mode and the bass notes are "arpeggiated" via the LFO, so even if you switch off the arp, the bass will continue to play rhythmically until you disengage the LFO routing to the amp. I hope that helps...

  • @codern You need to switch off the arpeggiator, the patches have been programmed with the arp as part of the set-up, so turning the arpeggiator off will stop the melodies from playing and you can edit the sounds or save them as a user preset without the arpeggiator. To switch it off you simply have to go to the buttons in the left hand corner of the panel, underneath the logo, and toggle the button labeled arpeggio, until the LED goes out. That works for most presets with arpeggio but not all..

  • HELP...could someone please tell me, these "patches" on my sh-201, they are already pre programmed melodies that change pitch given the key you press..why is that so?? i love the sounds , but im wondering if i can alter those pre-programmed melodies...i am stupid, but im so new to this..so if anyone can help me that would be great , cuz i love this synth, its unreal and i wana use it to its full advantages. thanks again!
