So it's not as simple as we're at the end of the 10.000 yr ice age? It has been and will be melting until it's gone correct? I'm saying our contribution to this has how much effect on a total scale of what? What I mean is we aren't supposed to stop the natural 'melt' of the ice age are we. Okay we 'back off' our negative impact, then what? Do we have control after that? Doesn't it have a sliding scale too. It increases exponentialy or faster.

greenland has no risk of forming an ice dam. and if fresh water melting slows current causing cooling, the current is not going to wait for all greenland to melt and then let it take effect, it would be a steady transition. and no, the land supported ice shelf colapse has not only never been witnessed, but to simulate it they actually have to break the physics models.

One of my colleagues discovered that the North Atlantic Drift can shut down in less then 10 years, extremely abrupt. He looked at clays on the bottom of an Irish lake, found the warm temperate plants that lived around the lake were killed off, Ireland turned into Arctic tundra in 10 years. It shows how sensitive the Earth is.

Steam does not only come from boiling water. Wet your hands with warm water, do not dry them and go outside on a really cold day (or put them inside the freezer). You'll definitely see lots of steam.

I did not cut it; that's when a new chapter starts in the documentary. I believe you can easily find the whole documentary for free on the Internet, it is called "An Inconvenient Truth".
