DES MOINES, IA--Lee recapped the public transportation episode and read headlines that included more information on the Des Moines transit hub and sustainable construction.

Also commentary on bidding process and procedures for Des Moines area projects--Walsh (Chicago) and Weitz (Des Moines) controversy--and use of metro transit and interstate transit (passenger rail) to jump-start a Green New Deal for Iowa.

Lee listed ways people could release themselves and their communities from fossil fuel dependence using slavery and alcohol prohibition as examples.

The challenge to personal access to a green economy and a Green New Deal would involve economic investment, education, and commitment to a sustainable lifestyle.

The challenge to community-wide access to a green economy and a Green New Deal would involve the same issues addressed by larger groups of people.
