This is my second saltwater reef tank to assemble after losing everything from my first one due to the hurricane last year (see my other videos for hurricane info). It still has a long way to go compared to some of the other more established tanks, but I figured what the heck... it's been a while since I posted a video. One clip from this particular video is actually going to be a slate for un upcoming After Effects video I am working on. Can't wait to wrap that up and post for all of you visual effects subscribers who have been very patient with me.

Thanks again for watching and I hope you enjoy!

  • whats that coral at 1:40 it looks like an sps but its a softy :) nice tank btw

  • @hotdoghee123 Definitely a softy... Pink Purple finger leather. Very hardy. Still in my tank but gets beat up by some of the other surrounding corals so it is not as big.

  • what tips can you give me so i could have my own salt water aquarium

  • @julio0794 Start slow as with any type of fish tank, but do not be afraid to dive (permitting the budget you set will allow you to). Identify what type of saltwater tank do you want... F.O. (Fish Only)?... F.O.W.L.R. (Fish Only With Live Rock)?... Reef Tank or Coral Tank?... or a Predator Tank? There are some fish you can not own with coral in the tank because they kill them (expensive). Other types of fish will kill other fish and so on. Lighting will be an important factor with corals.

  • beautiful tank, how old is this one?

  • WOW! You certainly have a most wonderful water tank. Love it... <3

  • Very nice, Cant wait to see more!

  • name music ?

  • Hey what kind of skimmer are you running and is this a 4 foot tank?

  • @peterpoop Your right about corals needing a lot of light, but not necessarily exposed to a long period of light. Depending on the type of corals you wish to own, they require a certain spectrum of light and a certain intensity of light. I now own T5HO actinic lights for the dusk to dawn effect and 500w MH for replication of the sun. Since upgrading to MH lights, my corals have not stopped growing for the past year. This is without leaving the lights on no more than 8 hours in a day.
