If you really really want to make that switch, its possible. Just takes a bit of dedication and something called practice. Remember though, Practice doesn't make perfect. Perfect practice makes perfect (a little something I learned in freshman year high school).

I played one in a lesson awhile ago. I've been dying to own one ever since! Most beautiful instrument in exsistance, hands down.

Obviously the technique is different.... just learn a new one and you should be fine.

@GLkamina121 I played trombone for years and just switched to tenor sax. no it's not true. i've3 been playing for like 6 months and i'm already first chair tenor. it's not as hard of a switch as you would think

its common , many woodwind players do you know also pay brass ?
unless u quit trumpet and focused only on flute , you would need a long time to get you embochure right !

i would like to pick up the flute, I play the trumpet and i heard that bass players can't play wind instruments because the technique is completely different :( is that true?
