Here's my rendition of my favourite song in theatre history, dedicated to the late, great, very much lamented Leo Burmester. As usual, comments and criticisms are very much appreciated. Just remember that I'm not a singer. I don't take lessons, I don't generally do musicals. Please don't roast me for sounding amateurish in that respect! Thank you...

  • i think youd be definetly be good for this role but also, as im sure youll probably agree, i dont think youd be that good for many serious singing roles. maybe if you got some lessons or something but good job on this....

  • Agreed!

  • you are totally overdoing it!

  • Hmm. Yes. I'm not exactly renowned for either singing or subtlety.

  • He died of leukemia. I found out from a friend of mine only a few weeks ago.

    And you did a B+ job on the singing. hears some advise though;

    DON'T QUITE YOUR DAY JOB!

  • Well, being only 16, quiting my day job isn't an option.

  • to be honest the song is more about the attitude and acting so oyu did a goos job- you're doing fine. I'm on your side because this is LITERALLY the only song I can sing. Good one mate :)

  • this is a very hard song to sing! I tried a few weeks ago and gave up in the end,

  • A good rendition but it was the Geordie actor Alun Armstrong who played the master of the house in the original stage production.

  • id give it a 9/10. ive never seen this show before, so i cant rightly say how its suppose to be done, but i can say that you nailed a ranting drunken scottish (or irish. im not too good with telling accents apart.) voice (if thats what you were aiming for and i appologize if it wasnt) plus you managed to quickly yet effectivly switch pitches frequently to keep the "mind out of sync with the mouth" drunken tone. good job!

  • Don't listen to that person! You are not overdoing it, not a bit!

  • You are excellent! 5 stars! My favorite "Master of the House" ever!

  • Now, I'm no singer either, but the singing isn't half-bad; the voice is great, as well as the extra laughs, cackles, etc. Excellent!

  • Love the enthusiasm for the character; I wish I could say the same about the singing.
