  • How about Malkin Ovechkin Gonchar, you dunce!

  • @stan575 what about them. The Russians like this tournament its close to home. Plus, Canadians make up over 50% of the league so when the playoffs are going on most of them are particiapting there. Ovechkin isnt nearly as tired never having gone past the second round in his career. Gonchar and Malkin have been injured the past two years. Plus, Russia was angry about their big loss to Canada in the Olympics; they wanted revenge in a tournament most good countries don't care as much about.

  • @stan575 I agree with that, Canadians dont care as much this tournament doesn't hold the same pedigree as the Stanley Cup or Olympic Gold or Even the World Cup or Canada Cup they back in the day. Like I said in my rant if the IIHF if they want their tournament to be better, they need to change it. Why is it during the NHL playoffs? Make it after like in September instead of training camp have that. Or make it every 2-4 years then it will be more significant.

  • lol canada lost to all countries and now ur gonna cry huh..

  • @TheAshelia1128 nah I dont care that they lost. Russia was way more stacked. Canada didnt have its best players at the tournament; they are to busy going on deep playoff runs in the NHL. They won the Olympic gold which is the biggest achievement on a national level and that's all that matters.

  • @TheAshelia1128 cry for what. Nobody in Canada even cares about this tournement. Canada only had 1 player from there Olympic team playing. Maybe if they didnt run this tournement at the same time as the NHL playoffs we would care. Todays game was the only game i even heard the results of.

  • @Shane444888 you are correct Shane there is no reason to justify our stance on this issue. I am not even that biased to Canada, look at other good countries like the USA and Sweden who dont have good players. They dont give a shit either.

  • Here's another reason - if the Canadian star lost in the championship it would be understandable that the Russian loss in Vancouver was an accident, they want to delay his victory a little longer

  • so if you do it less often it will be meaningful it is stupid.

He goes every year for the development of hockey, not for prestige

a great example of this year, Denmark, Germany

  • if you knew the Russian language I would have explained to you all.

just need to tell the truth you do not want to play for one reason or another, not because you're tired. When you say you are tired it is ridiculous for a young man, he's not 300 consecutive games played

  • That's just a psychological standpoint, it should be harder to play than the Canadian. Canadian star is not playing because they believe this tournament is second best, not because they are tired. or they were afraid to play with the evil Russian.

and even this is not the reason for refusal. Sorry if you do not understand, I am writing through a translator
