  • According to Wikipedia, the Eurofighter Typhoon, depicted in this video, is also capable of Mach 1.2 (915mph) at low level.

  • The fastest planes at sea-level are generally regarded to be, in no particular order, the General Dynamics F-111, the Grumman F-14 and the Panavia Tornado GR4. All are capable of around Mach 1.2, or about 915mph, at sea level. Note that all three have variable-sweep wings which is key to achieving high speed at low level.

    By contrast, the Lockheed SR-71 Blackbird was only capable of Mach 0.95, or about 723mph at low level.
