Set in the rolling hills of southwest Minnesota near Pipestone, these wind generators actually compliment the landscape. While cows graze and farmers work their fields these Turbines quietly produce energy in a non-polluting way to local residents, the noise you hear in the background is created by mother nature, not the turbines. Visually stunning, they go for as far as the eye can see in this area.
How does that compliment anything?

Yeah, drill, but that's not enough. Coal, oil & gas are finite resources. We burn them, and they're gone. There's also a limit to how fast we can pull them out of the ground no matter how much we try. We have reached that point. All our new finds are tiny and the old fields are in decline. We need to be investing in energy sources beyond fossil fuels. The wind is going to blow for quite some time after oil is gone. I say drill, yes, but also, whats next?

GrimReeperNL-"the cost of windenergy remains equile"
No it doesn't. The cost of producing, erecting and maintaining them goes up along with the rest of the economy.

Not if you give about the enviroment.. some very nasty stuff gets out of the back of your car without it...

Most windmills are privatly owned and both. Depending on the moulds and types, you will have a money gain out of them now.... and don't forget, with rizing fuel prices, enery selling price rizes... the cost of windenergy remains equile... so gain will only grow with the rizing oilprizes.
PS: Pipestone is also home to a Factory where Rotor Blades are fabricated.

And how much of your tax money goes into fossil fuel power ? A LOT MORE thats the answer. Oh , and you get duty taxed again when you buy the fuel. How can people not 'get' the fact that there will be teething problems with wind power , but in the long run its like 90% better for the enviroment and sustainable.
