  • @davemozart You are right!Ian lessons are for drummers who play jazz gigs, and they need more special things, but for all drummers including beginners,ED SOPH MUSICAL TIME is the best book and dvd,to understand mehanics of playing jazz.

  • Does anybody know if he did any recording with Miroslov Vitous? Froman is incredible!

  • I took lessons from Ian some years ago and his teaching methods didn't really take me anywhere ;back then I was very much a beginner and he was asking things of me that I couldn't do / didn't understand. And he didn't give me the tools I needed at the time that took me to the next stage . However, I'd dearly like to go back now and study with him again , because I think that his methods are for the advanced student.

  • What is that ride? a mark II?

    I want it.

  • Awesome, seen Ian at StFX twice now. Hope you come back!

  • Bless you Ian, I so appreciate your musicality and your voice on the drums...The drum community needed you and here you are!
