Like? I love! This is an extraordinary work (not for the faint at heart) La Divina proves again why she leads the charge. For she is truly the master at her craft. I am spellbound and speechless!

The original score have this exact dotation. Is not reduce. You should listen to the Orchestre Révolutionnaire et Romantique (the one Gardiner founded). They play with original instruments and dotations. Berlioz, Mahler, Wagner, Strauss and other romantical composers expanded the orchestra, but Mendelssohns orchestra was smaller... it was like this orchestra.

It's playing music from the 1820s, and you think it'll be the size of a Mahler orchestra?

the orchestra is reduced!! Why?? I think it lack strength and sound, it can be quite fierce but with less instruments it just doesnt have that quality
