Boeing 720 (domestic version of the 707) flown by Norbert Rauch at the 1989 Kerken airliner meeting. At that time glow engines with propellers were the only possibility to power such a plane. Span 2.5 meters, length 2.6 meters.

  • Awesome touchdown!

  • even with the props you can still hear it whistle like the real thing ! nice model..

  • That was amazing!! I love the form of the old four-holers (707, 720, DC-8) so this model is one of my favourites right away. Today I imagine you could substitute real RC turbojets for those props, but even the props did a great job - very realistic with all that smoke. Too bad these guys didn't have a nice concrete strip to fly this out of - that gorgeous craft deserved better than lumpy grass :p

  • That is fucking sensational. WOW! Even how she nods at the end of the landing roll, acknowledging the (well deserved) applause. Bravo, Boeing 720 of Air Malta!

  • I miss the AirMalta old livery!!

It suited those planes so well!!!

    Does this model still exist?

  • u know i can still hear those engines screaming. i remember when we used to go to Heathrow to watch them come in and land. by the way .. i like the smoke from the engines on take off. almost like the full size.
