@acicchino you dont even need to think about "the hype" or the mainstream success something might get. i listen to tons of stuff, as do all people who are into music and know how to use teh internetz, and try never to label anything. the only judgment should be ' i like- i dont like' :). its a step towards not labeling in general and not judging based on what you might have heard.

The fuzzy guitar was done on purpose, like the singer's random screams and other things that were unorthodox for the time. According to Wikipedia, Gibson's first fuzzbox was released at the same time as the peak of the Sonics' success. Pretty awesome.
