  • The "nested" liners are one of my favorite spyderco design features.

  • Yeah, ZDP isn't really a stainless steel, it's very easy to get it to rust or at least discolor. It has to be treated like high-carbon steel pretty much, it's probably similar to D2 in this regard.

    For this reason I've stayed away from it. If you try out one of Spyderco's CPM-S30V blades, you're going to be very happy. They put their best bevels and sharpest tips on their S30V blades because of the excellent properties of that steel. I love VG-10 blades too though, VG-10 is premium shyte.

  • FYI the Rock Lobster uses the same liner lock as the one used in the Spyderco Military, which is a well proven design, and its lock is highly regarded.

  • Cool stuff. You digital zoom looked good to me. It was grainy but still sharp. You have the fenix addiction going now to. I'm loving my pd20 r2
