  • ok... he's a very good pianist! (like his music very much)

but im sorry he shouldn't talk.. he plays that good but speaks that bad

  • David is to the piano what Joshua Bell is to the violin, and Monserrat Caballe' is to the aria.

Extreme intelligence in interpretation, ability to convey every subtlety, every wild emotion,

every peaceful lyricism, and possessing technique of incredible range and color.

  • He's not a mechanic, he defies the curriculum of mechanics and the verbatim snob crowd. He's an artist and articulates himself as one. The greats never come from the class and never fly with the flock. This guys an original.

  • @akroasis10 I understand what you are talking about, but comparing to a lot of piano-pounders today who don't even think about what they are playing, he knows enough...

  • @akroasis10 great observation. I understand these as introductory videos. I think people need to understand what has already been said before they can receive novel ideas, no? Maybe there are "master commentary classes" which are more appropriate for advanced students like you, somewhere else on youtube? I'd hate to judge a teacher as not intelligent or advanced because they were teaching an introductory class.

  • In his commentaries I cannot find anything really intelligent (if intelligence means to discover new territories)- it is very conventional talking.....binare/ternare, darkness below the fun or tenderness, flat- hand technique - all this was said a dozen of times before. Perhaps he is discovering it for himself, good for him! it is still a little shallow, but he is young....hopefully he doesn't think he is already a 'master'

  • I hope he writes a book on music someday..

    Should be interesting

  • merci David, je vous souhaite une belle carrière :)

  • I thought he was talking about bach's g-minor concerto, right until he mentioned "Ravel" at 1:19

    Try it!
