Before Chinese invasion in 1949, Tibet enjoyed complete freedom. Every morning people in the Tibetan capital of Lhasa would sing the Tibetan National Anthem.
Now, the tradition carries on in exile. What you see here are Tibetan children singing the Anthem to traditional music, to begin their day at school.
This was recorded in the exile community near Solan, Himachal Pradesh, India, March 2008.
Filmed by Sonam Yangdon, Tibetan refugee.
