I want to get a Kindle, but I'm not sure if I should go for 2 or DX. I like the overall size of the 2, but I'm afraid the little screen is quickly going to feel too small. Does the 6" really feel comfortable to read on ? Do Kindle have internal links in the books ? Can you click from the TOC/index register to certain pages ? I'm not reading novels, but want it for huge learning books.

hahaha...imagine listening to audio reading that sounds like Stephen Hawkings...the 10th version will sound like Morgan Freeman....I want the one with Russell Crowe voice...

@AstronomyGuru1 like taking in any other form of media in the dark, it's a little more immersive. I still read books in the dark with a booklight and it's much easier to get pulled into the book when there's no other clutter in your peripheral vision. Horror stories are particularly more effective, as to be expected. I'm not saying it's vast difference, as any good book will pull you in regardless of where you are, but reading in the dark certainly has its effects.

@purpleshamrock17 your right a backlight would strain the eyes.
-
The page flashing black after every button push seems like it would be maddening.
-
Wait... it only downloads Amazon product?

Actually the coolest feature is the Internet fuction, where I can even access facebook! And for those who want a backlight: that's what gives you eyestrain in the first place, cuz it's like reading off of a computer screen which is EXACTLY what Amazon was trying avoid.

what? The voices are bit mechanical but Amazon claims people get used to them?! that's a lame explanation...
I don't get why everyone wants a back light, you want the kindle to be like a book as much as possible, so get a book light, or just use a light like you would with a normal book

I giggled when I thought of someone using the text-to-speech function to listen to a romance novel.
