Awesome, thanks so much for the demo. I was wondering if/how NFC task launcher and Tasker would integrate, but I couldn't find the answer elsewhere, and this video clearly answers that. Going to try to get this working on the Galaxy Nexus.

That's neat, but wouldn't it be simpler to just have a icon that toggles the same function?

can you please tell me what theme that is???
thanks!

@wezdknowles yeah go in tasker to fix that
open tasker > menu > preferences > Click on the tab [Misc] > check [Allow External Access] > save

@wezdknowles to write tags, you need to download an app from the market. have you done this?

Sorry, a couple more questions if you have the time:
1. Can you (as the tag creator) give yourself the ability to re-write the tag but no one else?
2. Where can you recommend getting blank NFC Forum approved tags and which would you reco?
Thank you again!
Cool. My apologies for not knowing enough about this yet (especially as an iPhone owner).
Can I ask how you "lock it down?" do you do this on your side? If so how? Or is there an option to create a read only tag through the NFC Launcher App?
Your quick response and time is truly appreciated!

@erikgoldhar Most any app you use to write NFC tags have the ability to tell the tag to become read only, once you tell the tag to be read only it'll never allow you to write to it again.

Does this mean you could possibly "hijack" any tag in the market and rewrite with the nfc launcher app?

@erikgoldhar no, I can set a tag to read only, once it's locked down like that even I (the person who set it that way to begin) with can't write to it again, ever. If you come across a tag that hasn't been set to read only, then yeah you can modify it.
