Fords rust and rot away in no time where as saxos and 106s are a step above as theyre all galvanised and weigh less than any typical shite blue ovaled badged ford rs or whatever ! AND they have the handling/grip characteristics of a go cart when lowered so bollox to lot o u that diss french cars !!

You can say what you want, but at the end of the day, the Peugeot won, fair and square. Although if that had been an Escort Cosworth, the outcome would have been much different. 106's are cheap little starter cars, an Escort is a totally different thing. Don't slag off French cars because they do make some good ones, and Ford are famous for their car's reliability.

@antonyr123 The 4x4 is alot slower as it doesn't have the right amount of power to get it off the mark, still these cars are not the quickest things, a 106 GTi should be quicker.

106 GTi 1.6 16v (122bhp) 0-60 in around 7.7 seconds

Escort RS2000 2.0 16 (150bhp) 0-60 in around 8.4 seconds

Both hit (according to there manufacturers) around 130mph.

I'd like the see the FWD RS2000 in this race, 4x4 makes it alot slower.

pretty much most pug 106's and shitreon saxos are gonna have an advantage off line, cos there made of such shit materials that there soo light that even if you hit a lampost doing 20 in one of those things you'd probs die. that guy cant drive the rs2000 as ive race my mates saxo vts and dicked on it. mines the 2wd one so dont know if that made a difference.
