Hydrogen-oxygen explosion and EMP

Leigh Russell at Dorkbot Sydney demonstrated his electrolysis cell, capturing hydrogen and oxygen in a condom, then remotely detonating it, to cause an electromagnetic pulse that rebooted the PC. My apologies that I reacted to the extremely loud explosion and so you don't see the monitor showing the PC rebooting. Leigh explained that he'd discovered the PC rebooting by accident and googled to find that when hydrogen and oxygen combust, electrons are shed which cause the electromagnetic pulse - just strong enough to crash a nearby desktop PC.
