Russia will always put diplomacy first as a way of protecting its interests, though it will not exclude other means if necessary, said President Medvedev when awarding state honours to Russian troops for the bravery they displayed during the recent conflict in South Ossetia.

Because it's special to Jews/Israelis. The Israelis now have their own land so don't need anyone else's by way of a gift. as I said - Stalin is worshiped in Georgia, not Russia. get your facts straight. in russia Stalin was condemned some 60 years ago. in Georgia they still keep huge monuments of him and museums and their president considers him as a great national hero, a marvelous leader of the past to follow and copy. that's why in 2007 he brutally suppressed opposition protesters.
