@7colliemac Indeed, they were growing apart in their own ways. I think I'm glad (in a SMALL way) they seperated... If they continued on, they wouldn't have enjoyed the music or experience.. Which would have just been no good for the Beatles.

@ScreamsoftheRaptors I agree... John & Yoko... Paul (perfectionist) & George bickering... Ringo couldn look less interested.. then, NUT Spector... over produced it.. sad!
-
@7colliemac Keep in mind, Let It Be was produced under horrible conditions.. and at that point, the Beatles didn't care for each other that much at the time... what with Yoko being abouut.

I think that saying that ringo is the ''greatest'' is more a reference to is solo post-beatles song ''i'm the greatest''...

There is no "greatest" Beatle. They were all wonderfully talented individuals with different styles. They all did well in their years as the Beatles as well as their solo years. Can we please stop fighting like kindergartners and just enjoy the music?

THE ULTIMATE TRUTH. Go to TruthContest(dot)com and click on The Present to read it. This is what you have been looking for. This is what George was looking for too.

Ok maybe not awful... but it seemed the lads had very little interest in making it a masterpiece ... ie.. Revolver etc.. the movie & album we're depressing... but yes, most groups would kill to write those "below par" songs.

@7colliemac WOW Awful?!?!?! Its beautiful. This song. Let it be, the long and winding road, all across the universe brilliant songs!
-
@7colliemac agree.... Revolver was the peak of their creative arc... it was a flawless album
