This collection of Shiva stutis explores the numerous facets and attributes of Lord Shiva-
the Creator, Preserver and Destroyer of the universe. Pandit Jasraj presents them in diverse
ragas rendered at different times of the day, from early morning to late night, choosing a
specific raga to highlight a particular aspect. Thus, while Raga Malkauns is apt in
describing the martial characteristics of Lord Shiva, Raga Des brings out the warm and
compassionate nature of the Lord.
