Put up a profitable Best Buy or Ace Hardware that actually earns a profit to help the community. No socialist handouts. Why should my taxes go to maintain libraries that the internet has made obsolete? Everybody has computer access. Get rid of all our nation's libraries.

Wow... I'm impressed with the lengths you guys went through to mess up your library for this video. I just wanted to say though, that the damage is not limited to the physical deterioration of libraries. The knowledge a librarian possesses about the collections they maintain and competent research skills will also be lost and students will suffer for it.

The point is that libraries support the disenfranchised. Who speaks up for the little people?

This video is a remarkable enactment of what will happen if districts don't stand tough for school libraries. School Libraries are much more than just books - now it's about INFORMATION Literacy and INFORMATION Fluency! Citation, anti-plagiarism, evaluation of sources, ethical use of information too! Teacher Librarians are fundamental for student academic achievement. Our students need them as well as a facility to connect with the print and online collection.

I agree with aiwlibrary. We wanted to focus on certain aspects of closure. Other librarians in our district produced another a few months earlier called "Ask Me" that illustrates the many services we provide and the skills we teach.
