Hey!
Well it's such a long time since I played that stuff, but I'll try to recall..
The first passage you're talking about, is the pat metheny lick kinda modified. The second one is kind of a sweep-pattern, kind of my own lick, but inspired by the metheny-thing (sounds a bit like Bach though...). :)
