Actually, now come to think of it, when she summoned the Lord of Nightmares in to her body at that time the Lord of Nightmares said that a human soul would have been completely destroyed under those circumstances. The fact that she is still around after that could actually give weight to that way of seeing things.

Gotta love the sequence of plot twists in this episode. And seeing Xellos and Rezo face-off was spectacular(a shame that it was so brief a fight). As for the people speculating about Lina, trust me, she isn't L-sama's vessel/incarnation/etc. Kanzaki stomped out these theories in fan interviews years ago. Only reason she came back from the Sea of Chaos is because the LoN's willed it(she *is* God, after all; recreating a soul should be easy). Lina's just an exceptionally powerful human.

Xello's is strange character because he is both evil and good. Shabranigdu wants to destroy the world and Xello wants world destroyed too to some degree but also he does want balance of his world to kept intact and no else to destroy it.
