I was a 21-year-old student at the University of Southern California on the morning of September 11th. I awoke to the sound of my phone ringing. It was my Mom and she sounded incredibly worried. She proceeded to tell me a plane had crashed into the World Trade Center and another bound for Los Angeles had gone missing. After assuring her I was alright, I hung up the phone and turned on the TV. I couldn't believe the images I saw. Suddenly, my entire being was consumed by a wave of intense sadness. I didn't know what to do. I eventually decided I should go to class as if it was any other Tuesday, except it wasn't. There were very few students on campus that morning and the ones who were barely spoke. While sitting in my Recording Arts class I began to write. The words I wrote that morning would later become the chorus to Awakening Tuesday. I've always felt the United States' response to the devastating events of September 11th should have been peaceful and reflective of our humanity. Unfortunately, it wasn't. I created this video to honor those who lost their lives that morning and in the wars that followed. Peace is possible, but it has to start somewhere.

  • if we acted in peace while others acted in wickedness... what will be left in this world are those who are wicked... america is the world's best bet to world peace... at least we fight the wicked and those who care only about themselves... no one is perfect, but america's general ideologies are closest to being one, guided by God.

  • @jancarlo000 I'm not a religious person, but if I was I don't believe God would have guided us to a war that has taken the lives of innocent people.

  • I love your song! Thanks for share your mensage with us! It's is really what the world needs!

I hope we all will come together!

Can you share its lyrics? Cause I'm a english teacher for children and young people in Brazil and sometimes we learn and teach better by music. It's a lovely song for children to learn english in a conscious way. Thanks!

I'm not a religious person, but if I was I don't believe God would have guided the Americans to drop an A-Bomb on our people of Japan. I don't think God would have guided the Nazi's to demonize the Jews and kill them off, and I don't think God would REPEAT that same "mistake/tragedy" by guiding the Jews to demonize the Muslims and kill them off. I don't think God would have guided Americans to be the #1 exporter of arms/weapons while our education system is ranked in the bottom 10.

  • @marcpedraza God would not approve of that yes, but you see, people are not perfect and so the death of innocent folks have happened. The overall US and it's principles would destroy only those who are wicked if we had the power to destroy them with 100% accuracy and no collateral damage. Yes, God would not approve of innocent deaths, but He would the destruction of the wicked. You see, God is perfect but humanity is not... Those who hold wicked ideologies must be extinguished with no honor.
