where did you get headlights that are on your 64' bug?

To Much Information :D

Is that carpet a pile or loop? Looks like a pile to me. Cameras are tricky. If it is a loop then what kind? Thank you!

Chris, this video was SO helpful to me. I've just been pulling my hair out deciding on what to do when it came to authenticity. I'm definitely going the two tone door panels and you've pretty much sold me on the 'sewfine' - ha, they need to pay you as an official endorser of their products.

This may sound like a stupid question and not one you will enjoy answering as a restorer when you realise my intentions, but as you're the expert and I'm merely considering buying a classic beetle I would like to ask what the 'dashboard' is constructed from and how easy it is to remove/replace. I plan to duplicate and slightly modify the dash using fibreglass and a few other lightweight materials creating a more personalised beetle whilst maintaining a degree of authenticity..

@OriginAndAbsolution well any bug 67 and earlier had a hard metal dash, 68 and later had a padded dash primarily made of foam and plastic type hardening on the outside.
