@PrrrromotionGiven well, ps2 is a good system, gotta admit that, I just hate I never owned one of these, They have them at my local game store called G2K games, and they are only $30 :)

@thegreatkenz Yeah, it wasn't even a dignified death. The two biggest reasons the Dreamcast failed were Piracy (I've always hated piracy. Even beore I knew about this) and the PS2's DVD player. Honestly, Sony killed off Sega's hardware with a freakin' DVD player.

@PrrrromotionGiven thats sucks man, Cant believe sega kinda sold out their systems, after all those years you know?
-
@thegreatkenz No, it sold the least out of the four. In 2001, Sega had the option to either keep supporting the DC for a couple of years and hope it did better, or to leave hardware and only make games for other systems. They went for the latter, meaning the DC had only a bit over 2 years of being produced, and about 3 or 4 years of games being regularly released for it (it was released in 1998 in Japan). I prefer it to Gamecube, PS2 or Xbox, personally.

@PrrrromotionGiven sounds BETTER than gamecube, xbox or ps2. I defianetly would've got one if I would've even heard of it. Was it not as popular as the other game consoles or something?
-
@thegreatkenz A lot. I'll tell you as much as I can in 430 characters. DC was first for online, through a 56K dial-up modem. Dial-up is normally shite, but this one's pretty good. They released a Broadband Adapter, but it's really expensive. DC is probably the best gamers console ever, with great graphics (128-bit) sound and games like Sonic Adventure 1+2, Shenmue 1+2, Jet Set Radio, Soulcalibur and much more. The controller has 2 slots, where you put in VMUs, (look it up) Rumble or Microphones.

So this was eleased during the era of the gamecube, xbox, and ps2 rigth? Wish I could've had one. I never even heard of it until now. WHAT HAVE I BEEN MISSING?!
-
these graphics are still impressive to this day. ALL DC games have that feel to them that no other console even comes close to. And if someone says "dess grafix sux" you just tell them when the game was released ;)
-
Even now DC graphics always impress me...way ahead of its time. A darn shame idiots preferred a less inferior machine (PS2) over the awesome Dreamcast but that's the general public for ya, following each other like sheep.
