Chris Flores's 74 Nova

Just got done cutting a hole in the hood for the blower scoop.I built this car at Northwest Kansas Technical College while attending there! It has a bored out 350 with flat top racing pistons in it by Speed Pro, Aluminum roller rocker arms, heads completely redone including new seats and guides, I also shimmed the springs, its got a Holley Street Dominator intake, Holley 650 Double Pumper Carb, Holley 90 gph fuel pump, big tube headers from Headman, an electric fan, no power steering, a TH350 Tranny that was shift kitted and has a 3,200-3,500 stall converter from B&M in it, subframe braces, Traction bars, racing seats from Summit with 5 point harnesses, a Grant steering wheel, and a B&M Megashifter. Not to mention ALOT of chrome under the hood! What do ya think!?

Sounds a bit lacking when you put it down sometimes, though you can't really tell much through sound on a video. But great job; and thanks for bringing the old muscle back, we need more like you to bring the real power back to cars. I'd take it out like that for awile, all rusted and put those lil ricer kids to shame.

Yeah at that time it had a dead spot cause the cam on my Holley wasnt right but now its an instant reaction! lol Ive actually painted it a flat black and left all the dents and rust in it to do just what u said! The funny thing is no one wants to race it. Dont know why!? lol Ive had ALOT of people tell me I have the fastest car in my town.

Man I love it when the hood scoop just peaks threw the hood, gives it a mean/concealed look. Great car!

Its in decent shape has a couple rust spots on the quarter panels and a few dents but thats all thats wrong.

did u just attach the scoop to ur carb? or do u have spacers on? im thinking about getting one, but im not sure about if it will be high enough

You should put carb spacers to raise it up so it looks meaner!!! Makes big difference on the look.
