VIBRATION...
IS A MAJOR CAUSE OF SORE WRISTS...

The reason wrists get sore from playing is not just from over use. The root cause are the vibrations that travel up the nerve endings of your fingers and literally cause the nerves and tendons in your wrists and forearm to 'zing' and stretch out of shape.

Constant vibration causes inflammation and ache.

NewGrip Wrist Support Straps absorb vibration by comfortably compressing the wrist area and helps keep the median nerve and several tendons that control your finger movements from bulging out of shape.

The natural cellular structure of 100% Cotton, with its fussy little ends, attracts vibration up into the wrist wrap, deflecting it from your forearms.

This makes your wrists and forearms more relaxed and stronger; allowing you to perform with more energy.

  • is there any equivilent of this for the finger? I've had long term RSI problems which are rooted in inflamation in my middle finger (fretting hand).

  • I talked to Alan Trombetta, owner of NewGrip, and here is what he said:

"I can only suggest that he wear a wrist support wrap on that wrist 24-7; as the

tendon controlling that finger gets there by passing through the carpal tunnel.

He can prove this by holding that hand up in from of him, palm side away, and pulling

his middle finger backward. He should feel the strech in his wrist. And, wearing our

wraps, faithfully, should help him tremendously."

    Hope that helps!

  • Hi Ysrafel, I found your video through the NewGrip website.

I have had pain in my left wrist for about a year now, and no matter how long I leave my guitar alone to let my wrists recuperate the pain always returns.

I have owned a newgrip wrist strap for about a month and I am able to play without any pain at all, I try to practice atleast 1-2 hours a day.

Now my question is, is it possible to 'overuse' the wrist strap? I would love to wear it at work where I also use my wrists alot........

  • Hi

Great to hear that the straps are helping you out! I used to be in the exact position you are in..I'd say no, you can't overuse them (to my knowledge). I used to wear them all the time. Although it's less common for me these days, I still wear my wrist straps around (while not playing) if my tendons flare up from guitar.

  • I uploaded a vid of me playing with a newgrip, though my skill level doesn't compare to this guy!

  • These worked great for me as well, I'm a beginning drummer and I've tried almost everything. I tried wrist wraps, ace bandages, braces with splints, tape, cortisone shots, EVERYTHING and nothing worked. Finally gave these ago and I can drum again! I love them!

  • Hi, I've got the weight lifting version of this. can I use the wrist strap that came with them and wear them 24/7 as I play guitar also?

  • I'm pretty sure I have a low grade tendonitis or something, this thing is only cotton, I see no difference between this and a fairly tight wristband, am I wrong? Or is there any feature to it that makes it different? Because if so it will convince me one of them. If not I'm going to buy like 10 wrist bands w/ cool metal band logos, because they seem more appealing...

  • I just ordered mine today. I'm holding this video accountable for their success, since you convinced me. Hope they help. I'll keep youposted.

  • They worked great for me..I think $20 is worth a solution

  • Why Should I spend 20 dollars on this when there are other wrist supporters for a few bucks? The only difference I see is what a metal band in it?
