Regan has already started showing for this season and winning about everything she enters. That's interesting, because she is using a couple of different horses. So, for those of you who think it was totally her horse and that she was "just lucky", I hope you keep an eye on her this year. I'm so proud of her and her sister, because I'm their grandma!

the other thing is this is not an amateur class this is the class that all the trainers run in. It was great that all of the trainers were all so gracious and congratulatory to her :)

I agree with her it is kind of a once in a lifetime thing.....butttt once in a lifetime in that not every 8 year old can run the FASTEST TIME IN CONGRESS HISTORY!!!!!! LOL. i have a feeling this girl is going to have a bunch of once in a lifetime wins. :)

Did you guys SEE just how far she went to that first barrel before she sat! That is talent, agressive, heartfelt riding! Go go goo, faster faster fastter! ... I don't care how old or young you are girl. You make me proud to say I'm a barrel racer!

@horsesaremyname This is was I think. You say anyone could do this, then I wanna see you. There has been thousands of runs in that arena and she outrun everyone of them. I've watched that horse run all year and she's won many barrel races or would have won if she would've kept the barrels up. And she's done good like that on other horses to. So quit acting like you know everything about barrel racing, get over yourself, and enjoy a little girl winning something huge like this.

@horsesaremyname You should probably check her record of winnings before stating something like "what she did is a once in a lifetime thing". The girl and that horse have been blowing up, not saying she didn't happen to have an amazing run and click with her horse that day but she's been winning quite a bit this just happen to be CONGRESS and it's a big deal.
