Originally written under the Motown label, and first perform by The Temptations, "War" was later re-released as a single with Edwin Starr as vocals. This version is considered a more emotional version and has become the most popular pro-test song ever.

@WhatssSoFunny he may have been referring to the collapse of the Weimar republic following World War one and the wave of dissatisfaction that the Nazi part rode to power, so in a way war got Hitler into power. But I do take your point that he dint seize power or conquer his way to power he was elected, in a way you are both right... isn't it nice to resolve a potential argument this early on YouTube?

@supercammy98 Into power in Germany? No. Europe? Yes. My point was that Edwin says War is good for nothing yet it was the only thing that could have stopped Hitler.
