Wow Thanks, I didn't realize the nerve effect went so far up to the scalenes. It makes lots of sense why the pain is so far up. It gives me good clues of how to work both for myself and massage

great and did you know that stretching the muscles decreases pain but increases blood flow to them and the pain subsides.yah so that's great.

Neuromuscular Therapy (massage) can help to eleviate/treat carpal tunnel syndrome. Carpal tunnel syndroms is caused by the swelling of the tendonous structures that pass through a "tunnel" of ligaments on the wrist. By tresting the muscles that act on those tendons you can reduce the swelling. Thereby circumventing the need for surgery :) Surgery can cause a number of other issues. It relieves the symptoms, but not the cause.
