Here is a basic series for thoes of you who are either just getting started with turntables or would like to soon. In the first video, we do a very basic introduction, add slip mats, set up the tone arm and set the counter weight.

  • This guy doesn't know sh*t. That is NOT how you balance a tonearm. For one thing, the counterweight is measured in grams, not ounces. After PROPERLY balancing the tonearm, you put however many grams your cartridge calls for on the stylus. Your cartridge manual will say how many grams you need.
