This painting is 4 x 6 foot. It is acrylic on canvas. The painting was done in the summer and fall of last year 2008. This is different from my other body of work because I started introducing color to the skin tone. In my previous work I left all of the skin gesso. I have now switched to painting with oils on panel. 2009 has been a great year and I can not wait to post some of my new work. Also go to www.thejane.com to see more!

  • i love the light colors and scale.

  • I'm so glad I found this channel. The painting is well done and well presented. Did you make floater/frame yourself? If yes, then can you make a video on how to did it?

  • great job! I love the shots of it building up, its very informative to us that are just starting out. I think thegreyish blue hue on the skin is a little odd, maybe because the hair and the sand make it stand out so much. Other than that I love it. Keep up the good work!!

  • Great helpful video , that size canvas opens up another world, wow ! thank you for the great videos .
