Please Read First.... Back in September 2011 Tim Hensel from Jammaboards.com emailed me. He said he liked my video so much he asked if he could post it on the jammaboards website. Of course I said yes. Here is a link
http://www.jammaboards.com/jcenter_jamma_pinout.html

Had someone ask me to explain a little bit about the jamma harness. Hope this helps.

  • @Androigynous Depending on what game you want to run wil depend on what type of power supply you should use. The jamma harness gets hooked up to the power supply to power the pcb

  • @stuka1939 Try using needle nose pliers. Chances are that the clips were crimped hard to prevent any disconnection. Try using the pliers to counter crimp them in the opposite direction.

  • I bought a jamma cabinet without a pcb. Is there a way to test the monitor without a pcb?

  • @Alexdelarge1975 not really. The best way is to use a cheap pcb. Just buy a really cheap game. Thats what I do. I have a cheap known good working game. So if I have issues with a monitor, I use my test game to first verify the issue is the monitor and not a game board.

  • @moomert1 Ok thank you. I can hear a high pitched sound when it's turned on, so that's a good sign. I will check the internet for a cheap good working pcb

  • @Alexdelarge1975 the high pitch sound should go away in a few minutes. Once you find the cheap pcb you will then be able to see any other issues (if any) the monitor may have.

  • Thank you for showing this. Question: If you are building a cab from scratch and need a power supply for an arcade mobo what would you use? And would the jamma hook right into it?

  • Good video

  • @stuka1939 I just finished watching the video...it's the additional JAMMA kick harness that can't remove. Please help me!
