muts be nice to get lessons and support . voice lessons. and get to record with real equipment. kids like you don't know how good you have it... I record my audio and vidio on a $89 3 year old walmart digital camera. no lessons just years of practice. nice job anyway.

and i do know how lucky i am, trust me. i thank life everyyyy day for my family, friends and all the opportunities i have. and, this is my friend's dad studio. he was doing me a favor, which was AWESOME. couldn't you ask around to friends to see who might have a better camera you could borrow to record ? or you could check out ebay. ebay is sick :)

nice... but think about the lyrics you're singing...are they happy? your approach doesn't match John Prine's lyric. There are ways to do this different from Raitt but I think you've lost the connection to the song....which is very common these days. Music needs to be felt as much as it is performed....more really.

bad chords....you've put D major when you sing the part: ''child that's grown old'' .It's awful with this chord, it crap up the harmony...but singing is sweet
