They are quite tricky at first but Mike Fire has mastered them and is the only person to have them here in SA. Id say go for it be the first to make the impression it is great to lead the way - Some history on them - Originated, creatred and named Buugeng by one of the world leaders in Fire dancing - Di Zaobab.

Just out of interest how do you guys find performing with the "S" shaped fire staffs?

The "S" shaped fire staffs haven't really taken off over here in the UK and Ireland yet but I am thinking of using and experimenting with them for 4 upcoming nightclub and event promotions.
