Horsin' Around...

Recorded on July 31, 2011 using a Flip Video camera. Test run for both trains. I haven't been able to locate a SP GS-4 in war-time black, so I bought this KATO blue box beauty off eBay as a substitute until I find something more to my liking. She's got a 4-6-4 wheel arrangement and runs solid, but no working headlight (the spot for the light is simply painted silver). It's hauling the Lark for the first time. The CP is a GEVO unit I just acquired, with KATO bethgons and two empty hoppers in tow. Caboose is an interesting catch from eBay as well. Superelevated curves, previously seen in old videos (to the right) has been swapped out due to poor performance; all of my locomotives began derailing over time. Since I'm still plotting which direction to take the layout when I have free time, it's not a biggie, but it looks like crap given their absence. (Monster Energy drink purely for personal indulgence and entertainment value, lol.)
