Fantastic, and you know what's even better, you left the original sound in! There's no better music than the scraping of ice and rocks and the wind. Thanks for not covering reality over with Euro-pop!

This is an amazing video. Very brave and fit adventurers here. When I was younger I lived to moments such as these.

Without a doubt the most awesome outdoor youtube video I have seen in probably a year!

As one who used to skate rivers, ponds, and lagoons as a kid that is so cool and a bit crazzzy at same time! Well done guys. Can't wait to get down there this year.

Nice video John, thanks for sharing. I'm glad people are getting out and enjoying the crazy nice weather but I sure do hope the Sierra starts getting some deep snow soon.

Breathtaking beauty! I've been to Shadow, Garnet and 1000, but never in winter. I've even stayed at the same terraced campsite on the shore of Garnet that you bivouacked at.
Thank you! There were a number of things that happened there, but most significantly, a very strong wind event that broke up existing ice and piled it up in various shapes and places.
