The sooner the pilots or dispatchers start this process for a "re-route" the quicker they are in line to get out when the traffic starts moving. (or weather clears up). He also said " Bryce did'nt even tell them (the dispatchers) he had an iPhone, he just asked on ACARS for a re-route." Good Commercial, Nice job Bryce maybe I'll be on one of your flights one day. I only joined this site to say this: I was recently stuck in Chicago a couple of days ago because of a snowstorm. I talked to a pilot who actually knows Bryce. He said what Bryce did was ask for a new route that day from the dispatchers (the pilots have to ask the dispatchers for this, if the dispatchers can do it....then it gets passed along to the clearance guys who work with the tower.)

I agree lol, they put all these useless bells and whistles on their products to give that initial "wow", but of course turns out to be useless after.

he meant dispatcher. you probably don't know what they do but the dispatcher would coordinate a new clearance with atc. the local controllers wouldn't have the time or inclination to start that process.

We all really don't have the big picture of how this whole thing works, but for a 30 second commercial, this is very accurate.

Very much doubt it. Pretty sure they said, "Bryce, stop fucking calling us. You know s***. Do you know who we are?!?! Go play snake on your mobile, D***head!"
