  • You are definitely right with the melody and the text. But you are definitely wrong on the other side. This is a composition of Johannes Brahms, taking this melody as a subject and building wonderful variations in it as you can hear. It is op. 74 No.2 and you can find a lot of information about it on Internet!

Please be careful with your statements and proof it before.

  • I'm gonna have to agree with DolfRabus. The chant melody is used as "cantus firmus" (If you don't know what it is, google it), which is sung by different part, throughout. BRAHMS is the one who set this arrangement.

    Wonderful performance!

  • Hi! It's definitely not by Brahms (19th century) but ca 200 years eralier, text by Friedrich Spee 1622, melody: Rheinfelsisches Gesangsbuch 1666.

  • I totally agree! Excelente interpretación!! muy bien ecualizadas las voces. Hermosos timbres y buen empaste. Muy musical. Bravo!

  • wow, that's crazy how good these guys are! This is one of the toughest pieces for choir, and they got it down pat, and memorized too!

  • well done ...

  • This is sublime. Sehr schön. Precioso.
