I beg to differ on the greatest sound my personal best is the quattro s1, I live in tamworth and never thought I'd see this but it was real an rs200 evo reg j200rse being used as a shopping car on a Sunday , the guy came to shop in my halfords so felt obliged to have a quick chat.

The engine in this car is the same they used in xj220 but was designed and built from scratch for this grp. B program.

they use an v6 engine developed from Rovers original V8 (buick)
The jaguar connection comes with the XJ220, where they used the same V64V motor from the 6r4 but in twin turbo form. i beleive this info is correct, it a good while ago!

@sniper6r4 some 6r4's today run a 2.5 jag v6 but the original engine was the 3.5 v8 with the final 2 cylinders chopped off in essence. Hope that helps mate
